LL Week Three 4A-1 Power Poll

By: Seth McKinzie

  1. Shiloh Christian (2-0) — The Saints still look like the team to beat in the 4A-1 this season. Last Week: #1 – Beat Smackover 48-14
  2. Pea Ridge (0-2) — The Blackhawks will have the last shot for the 4A-1 teams to get a win against Farmington. If they happen to lose LL will likely have to drop them from this spot. Last Week: #2 – OFF
  3. Gentry (1-1) — The Pioneers open game loss to Dardanelle looks more impressive. After leading most of the game and holding the Sand Lizards under 20 points, Gentry has seen Dardanelle go on to score 40+ in consecutive weeks over Charleston and Prairie Grove while holding both to a TD or less. Pretty impressive. Last Week: #3 – OFF
  4. Lincoln (2-0) — The Wolves non-conference schedule sets up well for them to get some momentum. Two big wins over likely overmatched Oklahoma teams have them rolling right along. Last Week: #5 – Beat Keys, Okla 41-13
  5. Prairie Grove (0-2) — The Tigers don’t appear to be the type of team people have come to expect from this program. Getting blown out in Dardanelle was either wake-up call or a sign of a lot of struggles ahead. Last Week: #4 – Lost to Dardanelle 45-8
  6. Gravette (0-2) — The Lions seem to be improved though their record doesn’t reflect that sentiment. A win this weekend would be HUGE for the confidence of the program. Last Week: #6 – Lost to Farmington 49-19
  7. Berryville (1-1) — LL picked the Bobcats to lose on the road at Huntsville and that is exactly what happened. Nothing for them to get too down about but something tells me they may not be able to beat anyone other than the last place team. Last Week: #7 – Lost to Huntsville 31-14
  8. Green Forest (1-1) — It’s going to be another long season in Carroll County. Last Week: #8 – Lost to Commerce, Okla 7-0
