NOTE: GHS boys basketball head coach Matt Busch sends LL updates at the end of each month during the offseason to provide fans with a glimpse at the work taking place on the hardwood as the season draws closer.

Senior High Player of the Month: Brayden Trembly (Senior)

Coach Busch Says: “Brayden is using the offseason the right way. He is getting stronger in the weight room and his game is expanding on the court. Brayden has a great knack for rebounding and he has been a tough block out in practice. He attributes his rebounding skills to his dad, former Lion basketball player Kyle Trembly.

JV Player of the Month: Michael Duke (Sophomore)

Coach Busch Says: “Michael is doing a great job of picking up our system and being in the right spots on offense and defense. He is not afraid to get in the paint and mix it up with the upperclassmen.”

Junior High Player of the Month: Jaxon Galyean (Freshman)

Coach Busch Says: “Jaxon is working extremely hard in practice. He has recreated his jump shot and he is seeing the results. Jaxon has been a consistent leader on and off the court for us.”

More from Coach Busch: “Congratulations to the football players and coaching staff on a great game Friday night vs Lincoln! We are 43 days away from our first game. Our first game will be held at the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, AR against the 6A Searcy Lions on Nov. 12th. October is here and this is when we will buckle down and get this team ready to compete. Our teams are working hard and we are looking forward to our chance to compete. Until then… Good Luck to our Volleyball and Football Teams in October!”
