GHS Boys Basketball Wraps Up Summer Work

By: Seth McKinzie

Gravette Head Coach Matt Busch reached out to LL yesterday and provided this final summer update for boys basketball.

Coach Busch: Today (Thursday) is our last summer workout. We will be taking next week off to rest and get ready for the start of school. When school starts we will get started with our Fall Shooting Academy and hitting the weight room hard. Our coaching staff is excited about the improvements we have seen in each group.

Junior High Player of the Month – Rhett Hilger – 9th Grade

Coach Busch Says: Rhett had a great week at the Tri Lakes Shootout (held in Branson). He has developed into a really efficient scorer and he rebounds extremely well from the point guard position. Two weeks ago in practice he surprised everyone with a hard one-handed dunk to end practice.

Junior Varsity Player oft he Month – Brady Hunt – 10th Grade

Coach Busch Says: Brady has worked extremely hard on his shot and he has made himself into a good shooter. In JV games he has really stepped up and played well on both ends.

Senior High Player of the Month – Gabe Edgmon – 10th Grade

Coach Busch Says: Gabe made the most of his opportunities at our camps this summer. He led the team in charges taken and he does a great job rebounding.

While the season does not officially begin until November, the Lions work over the summer months should prove very beneficial. Keep tabs on the team throughout the Fall with LL.
